Our History
There have been previous expressions of a work amongst men here at Trinity but after a while they faded and did not continue. The current work began like the mustard seed in Matthew 13:32 in a small way after two of our number attended a conference titled “ Sons of the Father” at which the speaker was Gordon Dalbey author of the book of the same name. From this the dream grew and the group was launched in its present form in November 2005.
Our purpose
Is to provide fellowship that meets the pastoral needs of Men@Trinity so that they will be encouraged and enabled to build friendships, which will equip them for their journey through life. Each one will be at a different stage of their journey into the faith that Christ gives and all need support from the wider family.
Our Aim
To give everyman the opportunity to reach another man for Christ and that Mark 1:17 “Come follow me…I will make you fishers of men “ will become real to them and also to provide support and encouragement through meeting together.
Our programme
Is shown in full else where on the site but is designed to emphasise the informality and fun without being heavy on doctrine. There are special events to encourage men to bring others to hear the message of the gospel.
Our Affiliation
We are part of Trinity Methodist Church East Grinstead and the group is registered with Christian Vision for Men whose aim is to reach everyman in the UK with the message of Jesus Christ.
